Overview of the Healthy Cities Challenge

The Healthy Cities Challenge invites participants to walk 6,000 steps daily over a 30-day period. This initiative aims to promote physical activity while contributing to environmental sustainability through support for green charities.

The concept behind the challenge is straightforward: the more participants engage in physical activity throughout June, the greater the impact on local charities dedicated to environmental causes. This collective effort fosters healthier communities and cities.

Participants are encouraged to take part in this movement, emphasizing that every step contributes to a larger goal.

Participation Guidelines

To join the Healthy Cities Challenge, individuals must download the Healthy Cities app, create or join a team, and sync their activity tracking devices. This setup allows automatic tracking of steps. Achieving the daily goal of 6,000 steps earns participants a 'streak' for each day they meet the target, enhancing their position on the leaderboard based on accumulated streaks.

The Healthy Cities app is designed for compatibility with most activity trackers, including smartwatches, sports apps, and smartphone pedometers.

Ranking System

Participants can monitor their individual standings on their team’s leaderboard while also comparing their team’s performance against other teams.

Health and Environmental Activities
